Executive Team

Greg Murison

Chief Executive (acting)

Greg Murison (Kāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe, Waitaha) joined UniServices in 2019 as Executive Director for Strategic Growth before taking up the role of Acting CEO in September 2024. He has over 25 yearsā€™ experience in executive management and holds a PhD in immunology. He has worked in the biotech industry, universities and most recently in AgResearch, a Crown Research Institute.

Will Charles

Executive Director ā€“ Investment

Will Charles has been Executive Director Investment since 2005. In the last six years alone UniServices has started, supported and invested in 43 technology-based companies that have raised nearly $1 billion million in venture and seed funding for these companies. In 2016 he founded and manages the University of ŠÓ°ÉAPPInventors Fund, a $40m evergreen fund dedicated to start-ups generated by staff and students at the University of Auckland.

Hamish MacKenzie

Executive Director ā€“ Finance

Hamish MacKenzie is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) with a wealth of strategy, finance, operations and project leadership experience. He is focused on business transformation to improve performance and has held senior positions at Babcock, the Retirement Commission, SkyCity, Farmers and KPMG. He began his role at UniServices in 2022.

Jo Copeland

Executive Director - People and Culture

Jo joined UniServices in 2024. She comes with a wealth of experience in leading People & Culture teams in industries as diverse as pharmaceuticals, professional services, media, healthcare and IT. She is also an Alumni of the University of ŠÓ°ÉAPPwhere she gained her law degree and completed post graduate studies.

Toni Moore

Executive Director ā€“ Business Units

Toni Moore was appointed UniServices Executive Director for Business Units in 2020. She is a senior executive and director with over 25 yearsā€™ experience in global organisations, including global leadership roles at Orica and Fonterra as well as at the international management consultancy KPMG.

Analeise Murahidy

Executive Director, Strategic Growth

Analeise has been with UniServices since 2009. Prior to joining UniServices she held contract management, operations and business development roles within the tertiary sector in the UK and New Zealand. In 2024 she was appointed to the role of Executive Director, Strategic Growth.

Tama Davis

Executive Director Māori

Tama (Ngāti Whātua, Ngāti Haua, Ngāti Tuwharetoa) supports UniServices in mātauranga Māori. Tama holds an MBA and has more than 25 yearsā€™ experience in public health, mental wellbeing and governance. Contact Tama about Kaupapa Māori related to UniServices-managed services and projects.
